From the piece of fiction pictured above, the author wants people to believe business is just a field dominated by men. Although that might seem correct, women are on the rise in the business field. From an article about women in business, you can see there are more women in the workforce than ever before. It also shows that women hold 16.9% of the board seats at fortune 500 companies today as opposed to 11.7% in 2000 and 9.6% in 1995. ("Women in Business") Also the author of the political cartoon wants people to believe women have a "glass ceiling". This means women only can go so far in a career while men continue to advance on their "escalator" in the same career. Although this may seem correct as well, there are many other stats showing how women are doing just as well as men in a male dominated work society.

I found your article very interesting but am wondering why you didn't include any information about Katharine Graham? Her back story was very interesting and I felt that she should be recognized in this blog post.
